Assessment

Privacy Policy

Beta version. Effective October 21, 2026.

Who we are: Bad Batch Performance LLC ("Bad Batch", "we"), 205 Trail of Tears Dr, Ste 201, Hopkinsville, KY 42240. Contact: support@badbatchperformance.com.

This policy covers the Bad Batch app for iPhone and Android, and the Bad Batch coach dashboard.

The short version

  • A parent creates the family account. The parent decides who is in the household and what is entered about them.
  • We don't sell your information, show ads, or use tracking or advertising tools.
  • Your family's details are private to your household. Coach Wes and his staff can't see your family members, weights, food log, training logs or schedule.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app at any time.

What we collect and why

WhatExamplesWhy
AccountThe parent's email addressTo sign you in with a one-time code
HouseholdThe names of the people you add and which parent invited the co-parentTo set up meals and training for your family
ProfilesBirth date, sex, height, weight, sports and seasons, training days, goal (e.g. gain weight by a date), allergiesTo size portions and build training. Age is used, for example, to turn off weight-loss goals for children under 13
Health screening answersYes/no answers to: pregnant, uses insulin, uses a GLP-1 medication, history of an eating disorderTo keep guidance safe. For example, an eating-disorder history turns off all numbers for that person, and these answers prompt us to recommend working with your doctor
What you logMeals checked off, foods eaten, weigh-ins, workouts, sets and weights, maxesTo show progress and adjust portions and training
ScheduleGame and event dates you add, or the address of a team calendar feed you paste inFor game-day meal plans and reminders. The app reads the calendar feed directly from the address you give
Products you scanThe barcode number and product nameTo give Coach Wes's verdict. When a product isn't in our list, its barcode and name are saved so Coach Wes can review it. He sees the product, not who scanned it
Gym member codeThe code you redeemedTo mark your household as a Bad Batch gym member
PlanYour plan tier and trial datesTo know which features your household has
Purchase historyYour plan and purchase history (which plan you bought, when it renews or ends), not your card numberTo give you access to what you bought. Payment itself happens in the App Store or Google Play
Plate photosA photo you take with Plate checkThe photo is shrunk on your phone and sent to Anthropic (the AI that reads it) to list the foods. Bad Batch doesn't store photos, and your phone deletes its temporary copies right after.

Camera: used to read barcodes and the link code on a parent's phone, and to take Plate check photos. Only Plate check photos leave the phone (they go to Anthropic, as described above). Barcode and link-code pictures are never saved or uploaded.

Notifications: reminders such as packing for a game or prep timers are scheduled on your phone. We don't send them from a server.

What we don't collect: precise location, contacts, photos, advertising IDs, or browsing activity in other apps.

Children

  • Bad Batch accounts are for parents and adults. A child can't create an account.
  • A parent may add their children to the household and enter information about them, as described above. The parent controls that information and can change or delete it at any time.
  • Athlete mode: a parent can link a child's phone with a one-time code. The linked phone shows only that child's training (today's workout and progress). It has no email or sign-in of its own, and no meals or family details. The workouts the child logs are saved to the parent's household. Either side can unlink at any time.
  • We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 except through a phone the parent links. If you believe a child gave us information without a parent, email support@badbatchperformance.com and we'll delete it.

Health information

The profile, health screening answers, weigh-ins and food log are sensitive. We use them only to run the app for your household. We never use them for advertising, and we never share them except with the service providers below, who store and process them for us. Bad Batch provides coaching and education, not medical care, and isn't a healthcare provider.

If you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, the app reads your sleep, steps, active calories, workouts and weight on your phone to show your trends. That data is never sent to Bad Batch, stored on our servers, sold or used for ads. You can turn access off at any time in the Health app on iPhone or in Health Connect settings on Android.

Who we share with

We share information only with providers that run the app for us:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and hosting (stores everything above).
  • Resend: sends your sign-in code emails (sees your email address).
  • Open Food Facts: when you scan a product, the app looks up the barcode number in this public product database. Only the barcode number is sent, not who you are.
  • Instacart: when you tap Order for pickup, the food names and amounts on your shopping list. Nothing that identifies you.
  • Anthropic: when you use Plate check, the photo you take, so the AI can list the foods. Bad Batch doesn't keep the photo.
  • RevenueCat: manages subscriptions. It receives an anonymous household ID (not your name or email) and your purchase history from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Apple and Google: app delivery and payments. They handle your payment details; Bad Batch never sees your card number.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety. If Bad Batch is ever sold, your information would move to the new owner under this policy. We don't sell personal information.

Keeping and deleting your information

  • We keep your information while your account is open.
  • Delete account (Family tab) deletes your sign-in and, if you created the household, the whole household: every person, log and setting.
    • A co-parent who deletes their account leaves the household. The household stays with the parent who created it.
    • Copies in backups are removed within 30 days.
  • You can also email support@badbatchperformance.com from your account's address to ask for deletion, or for a copy of your information.

Security

All connections are encrypted. Each household's data is locked to that household's members at the database level. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app.
